I've registered on blogline and I'm excited to see the new feeds rolling in except I don't know what time I have to read them. Its beyond my wildest dreams how people that have full time jobs find time to maintain a blog or check out all of the feeds sent their way.
It makes me wonder if I were raised in a world where blogging and getting feeds...etc were the norm would I be more apt to use them all of the time or am I at a stage where its harder to teach an old dog new tricks.

Thing 4
Thing 4 was interesting because I like creating things, so establishing the Blogine was cool.
I had already been using "Goggle Alerts," which is a many version of Blogline. With Goggle Alerts I was sent feeds to my e-mail box. I can envision with Bloglines that it will be much easier to send a lot of feeds to one location and view them at my leisure as opposed to having feeds clog up my e-mail box.
As far as helping my writing I have already set up feeds from other Author's blogs. I can also envision setting up feeds from publishers...etc. Anything related to the genre I write in should be helpful.
All and all having a Blogline account shows promises of being a good thing.

Thing 3
Right now blogs are sort of an odd entity to me. I set this thing up on the web and espouse about, in my case writing, in hopes that someone will come along and respond. So, now I've got to figure out a way to get people to respond to my postings. What I would really like to do is to write a tale and find people that don't necessarily like or dislike the writing, but have a similar writing style and then comment on how I can improve my writing. And in turn I make suggestions to them. I guess it would be like a virtual writing group. Now that I think about it that should not be hard to find. The beauty in this would be that thousands of people could respond. For me that would be a great way to grow as a writer. In order to get people to respond I don't see much choice except to post on other peoples blogs in hopes that they will respond to my post.

Thing 2
I created this blog a few months ago and never really went back to the site until this activity (23 things) came up. Now I'm looking forward to getting more involved with not only my blog, but also the blogs of others. I purchased a book about blogs, but haven't read passed the first few pages. Now I plan on reading at least enough to spruce up my blog and get everything I can out of it. What do I mean by that? I don't know. Right now it just sort of seems like a new journey.

Thing 1
After reviewing "Thing 1" I got a new perspective on how I can use some of the Web 2.0 tools in finding new ways to promote my writing. The one thing that jumped out at me was "podcasting." Immediately I thought I could write a short story and put it into a pod cast. A person could even write a serial and put each episode on a different podcast.
Electronic communication only seems as if its going to get bigger each day. And because of that it should be that much easier to make contact with your potential audience.

Developing Blog
This blog was created as an outlet for my desire to write and to connect with other writers. To date I have not done much with the blog, but hope to get more involved with it in the near future.
